The Habs should pull a prank on the RDS guys and name Galchenyuk captain after Pacioretty is gone. That probably wouldn't be a good idea though since they all might have a stroke or something on TV. I wouldn't want that to happen.

Danault isn't signed yet for next year (though we know he will be extended). So they may end up giving it to someone who will be there next yeat. And my bet would be Shaw gets the other A.

Neither Weber no Gallagher need the C to be leaders, and that's what makes them both captain material. Gallagher for me because he's younger and has been a Montreal product the whole way through.

I can’t even believe it’s a question. Weber will undoubtably be the Captain. Gallagher A and likely Shaw with the other A depending on who we get back in a trade.

It should be Price, but the NHL has that silly rule against goalies being named captains. It will probably be Weber, even if I don't see him as a Hab two or three years from now. Gallagher appears to be a good leader, but a complementary winger isn't the kind of player I want named as captain of the Habs.
