Some notes on my selections:
My 50's picks basically tell the story of my taste in music, rock and roll.
The 60's are my all-time favorites, they made some great music after the 60's but this was their start.
Look up Neil's 70's discography and don't forget CSNY. Jerry includes The Dead, solo and New Riders of the Purple Sage. Joe Walsh is The James Gang, Barnstorm, solo and the Eagles. Springsteen and Van the Man need no explanation.
Cougar, U2, REM should also be self explanatory. Petty had some very good Heartbreaker albums plus Full Moon Fever plus The Traveling Wilburys plus Stop Draggin' My Heart Around with Stevie. Pete had three great solo albums and a couple decent Who albums.
Jay Farrar is 4 great Uncle Tupelo and 3 great Son Volt albums. Tweedy is also Uncle Tupelo plus Wilco plus Billy Bragg plus Golden Smog(have you heard of Golden Smog?)
Richmond Fontaine put out 6 awesome albums in the 2000's. Jason Molina was prolific as Songs:Ohia and Magnolia Electric Company.
