Sedins were our Core for the last decade, but they're not who we build around now. Our future is:

Hopefully one or two of Kassian, Baertschi, Virtanen, McCann, Shinkaruk, Cassels or Gaunce can step up and become a core player, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

Sedins I would say are still the core. In that hopefully they are still here in a few years when we're competing again and they can form a good 3rd line and PP unit.

There are no 'core players', since WD plays everyone 15 minutes a night.....If you go strictly in terms of salary, it's the Sedins, followed by Miller, Bieksa, Hamhuis and Burrows...more recently Tanev and Edler also joined the plus $4m a year plus club....that's our problem, six of them are closing in on 33-35.
