Honestly, the Kings should be in th discussion. When Carter comes back, the Kings’ lineup is looking like:

Iafallo - Kopitar - Brown
Pearson - Kempe - Toffoli
Gaborik - Carter - Brodzinski
Mitchell - Shore - Lewis
Clifford, Andreoff, Jokinen

The Kings have quality NHL players that won’t be in the lineup. I thought the Kings were going to be one of the most shallow rosters in the league but everyone is contributing.

Does anyone have any kind of stats or backing evidence to any of this? Worst thread ever if all anyone does is say "YOU KNOW WHAT, I THINK X TEAM HAS THE BEST BOTTOM 6"

Btw, it's still the Jets.

Leafs Bottom 6:
Komarov-Kadri-Marleau (50 points) / JVR-Bozak-Marner (67 Points) - We'll go with the Kadri line since they have less points
Martin-Moore-Brown (32 points)
TOTAL: 82 Points (99 Points if Bozak line is the "3rd line")

Jets Bottom 6:
Copp-Lowry-Tanev (30 Points)
Perreault-Hendricks-Armia (38 Points)
TOTAL: 68 Points

Not 100% if those are the lines for Winnipeg or not. I didn't include injury replacements (Leivo, Kapanen, Petan, Lemeiux) and went only by the players with the most GP on those lines. Also, obviously this only goes by points and ignores any other contributions. I'd be interested if other teams could provide this info.

Do you have any stats or evidence to back this up?

If you go purely by points the Leafs bottom 8 (bottom 6 [76 points] + 2 floaters [4 points]) has 80 points vs 71 for the jets bottom 8 (bottom 6 [68 points] + 2 floaters [3 points])
No, stats are for losers. Especially now that they don't favour the Jets.

I'll throw NJD into the mix.
The top 6 has had a lot of injuries so its tough to figure out where players should be considered.

If I were to go off how the players are from opening lineups it would be:
Hall - Hischier - Bratt
Johansson - Zajac - Palmieri
+Zacha, Henrique to fill in injuries
192 gp
_______________________
Wood (15) - Boyle (14) -Stafford (8)
Gibbons (20) - Coleman (9) - Noesen (10)
+Hayes (9), Lappin (1)
201 gp - 86 pts

If I were to go off the bottom 6 using even strength TOI the lineups would be:
Hall - Zajac - Hischier
Palmieri - Henrique - Stafford
+Johannson, Bratt
195 gp
_________________________
Noesen (10) - Coleman (9) - Boyle (14)
Gibbons (20) - Wood (15) - Zacha (9)
+Hayes (9), Lappin (1)
198 gp - 87 pts

The bottom 6 has also been dominating 5 on 5 as well and can be shown by being a collective +30 in the first group and +41 in the second group (thanks to Stafford's awful -8)

The Jets have an actual shutdown line (Lowry, Tanev, Copp) to go with scoring threats on the other 3 lines.
