I guess it's like Condra. I'm just totally blind and really don't understand the criticism, the constant ''trade him for ______ (nothing)". I don't get it, these guys are valuable.

He's not a perfect player; he's not a great player. But he's good. Like top 4 good.

Team sucks for half the year, main weakness is top 4 LD. He finnallllllllly gets a top 4 chance, and the team just looks a million times better (exaggeration), goes on an amazing streak. I don't see the problem, really not

Hoffman has been holding onto the puck a bit too much the past few games. Not sure if you want to label that as overconfident. Seems he figured it out a bit tonight against Toronto.

Yeah Hoffman is the guy I'd say as well though that's his game. The same case as Spezza, it can be frustrating but that's what makes them what they are. However I would like to see Hoffman use his speed a little more and his hands a little less.

Hammond, that guy is such a showboat winning all these games in a row. Am I doing this right?

I don't get the Wier hate. He's been fine.

Slow decision making with the puck, most noticeably on the PP and behind his own net. I think that's what bugs me the most about his game lately. His positioning has been good.

This thread reeks of "well we keep pulling off the wins, but it's not perfect, so we must criticize." Confidence is a good thing, folks. Sure you can get overconfident, but I think with the guys' current mindset, it's a bunch of malarkey.

The team has won six in a row. They haven't been works of art, but they rarely are. Gone are the days where we rip bad teams apart 8-1. Just get over it, the league has parity. Most games are close.

Exactly. 6 W in a row. 16-2-2 in last 20 games.

What games have we not been good in? Last night vs Toronto? We were the better team. Vs the Flames? I was at the game. That was a beauty game and the Flames were full measure for the 3rd. They are just as good as us and they are fighting for their lives. They were awesome and we pulled it together for OT and were "clutch" in the shootout.

The loss vs Boston? 3-1 and we hit a bunch of posts and were dominating the end of the game fighting back. Even game were puck luck was not in our favour (unlike most of our streak). Vs Buffalo? A meh game we won.

Since we got hammered by Carolina 2 months ago we played well enough to win every single game we have played. And we actually have won virtually everyone.

No one is acting overconfident. Not a single player. We are acting calm and confident. Not even pesky...just good. We are playing like a great team does now. We expect to win. If we get scored on we just keep playing and get the goal back. All 4 lines are rolling. Both of our bottom 6D fought last night. Our "checking line" or 3rd, 4th line of Condra Pageau Lazar is playing like the freaking Pahlsson, Niedermeyer, Moen line that killed us in the finals vs the Ducks.

Karlsson is becoming a forceof nature. Started after Calgary tied it at 4 in 3rd period. From that point Karlsson has been the best hockey player in the world. At that point Karlsson began to LOOK like he was playing really hard. He always is but he started to look like Pageau or something. When a graceful effortless player like Karlsson is visually seen to be making a ridiculous physical effort... It is incredible. Like watching playoff Alfie. Need a goal? Board Tucker, steal puck, score. That has been Karlsson since the Flames comeback. The team buried their chances that shootout.

This team is not overconfident at all. It is confident. You see great teams play like this and win Cups. It is only a 2 month regular season run but it is huge. If we can keep this mentality we will compete for the Cup this season and for several years. Now we have a team that if it goes 2 goals down it just plays harder. Tough loss Boston? We just win 6 straight after that.

Hammond is not just the Hamburglar. He is the Viagra of Sens fans. 8, 9 months from now local hospitals will be overflowing with a spike in births and there will be a run on Andrew and Hammy as names.

In 6 years there will be grade 1 classes with 8 boys named Andrew in it. And 3 girls named Hammy.

Nobody is saying that Wiercioch hasn't been a lot better, but he still has faults that keep him from being a legit top 4 guy. The biggest one being that he still often makes bad decisions when pressured. I'm thrilled with how he's playing and would love to see him round out his game. Maybe getting top 4 minutes for a lack of a better option will enable him to do that, experience might just well be the fix for the kinds of issues he has.

Being objective does not a hater make.

After Lazar ate a burger on the ice I would have said him, but somebody must have tuned him in and got him refocused because he has been very good since. I think Pageau also plays with a little bit of cockiness, but really, it's just part of his game (Kessel breaking in in the left and JG stopped and made like he was going to flatten him only to step aside after Phil dumped it in).

So short answer - no one.

Cameron disagrees. His last presser he said the players have to understand they havent accomplished anything yet. He has also reiterated that several times in other pressers and thats the reason he was yelling at them on the bench. Honestly i have no idea how people can't see it. Teams has made a ton of low percentage pretty passes when they are in position to shoot because they are over confident.

i did not get that sense from his pressers as far as I recall

So why do you think he was blasting the players on the bench? They were dominating but squandering chances trying to be pretty.

He starts by saying when you face a team like the leafs you get the puck a little bit more leading to players trying to be fancy.

Were not that good a team to expect others to go quietly. We cant just throw our sticks in. Were not in the playoffs yet

Hoffman - Zibanejad - Ryan line has been getting way too cute for 5-6 games now. I believe that is why Hoffman was taken off of it. In the Leafs game Ryan and Zibanejad made about 3-4 passes back and forth to each other in front of the net and then just lost possession. Not a single shot. Someone already mentioned the giveaway by Turris.

I agree. Cameron said he wanted more north south play and thats why he put puempel on. Probably hinting at over passing.

In his own words, Cameron said that Puempel was on that line because "he goes to the net". Said "we didn't have anyone" who does that.

I'm pretty sure he said or a broadcaster said he put him on for more north south play. Maybe he said both
