Lol all good brother. I think Hughes and co. made the right choice. People got all caught up because Wright is a center and this is MTL. Slaf is a gamble and there are question marks, but I’m getting bust vibes from Wright. I knew I didn’t like his combine interviews, seemed like he was hiding something and not being genuine. His tweet about MTL that somebody posted today confirms that. He seems like a lazy entitled douchebag, and I’m glad they passed on him. Embrace the Slaf lol he’s one of ours now!
I told myself, I don't know who will be better, so just wait and see who we pick and how they develop. But my gut told me Wright. So I was hoping management did a thorough analysis and also thought he would be great.
I’ve been critical of Slaf too, but there’s a lot more to him than just size. The sharp upward trajectory is a good indicator looking back at past drafts. Except for the last time it happened, and we just happened to be the one picking him (KK). Hopefully this one works out! Slaf with Zuke and CC is going to be fun, especially with MSL in the equation.
