Honestly the only numbers that should be up there are 19, 21, and 33. Sorry 23 and 52.It's ridiculous that Bourque has his jersey retired, so so dumb.

Went with Byram over Makar. Byram seems like captain material and will likely be an Av for life. Makar may pull a Tavares and bail to Calgary. I hate to say it.
Umm, what?

I agree.Honestly the only numbers that should be up there are 19, 21, and 33. Sorry 23 and 52.
The fact that the Leafs are doing it, is reason enough to handle it differently.I agree.
To me teams should only retire the numbers of star players, those who were unquestionably among the top dogs in the league and did wonders for the franchise.
I would just do what the Leafs are doing with the second tier franchise talents like Foote and Hejduk.
What does this even mean? The fact that the Leafs are doing it, is reason enough to handle it differently.
A)They're incompetent, through a the last 50 yearsWhat does this even mean?
I think the Leafs are really smart when it comes to retiring numbers for good.
If Bourque belongs up there then so do a bunch of other numbers. He didn't even play two full seasons for the Avs.I actually think Bourque's belongs up there, but that the Avs should not have done it before Boston did. And the only reason I tend to be fine w/ Bourque's number being retired is because of how instrumental he was in that second Cup.
Still...they should have waited until after Boston had done it.
