The real trick is to make a list of players FROM Edmonton and area that would willingly play in Edmonton without making a fuss about it.

Honestly, if it was me, I'm a hardcore Oilers fan and it would be a absolute dream come true to don that sweater. This area produces more NHL players per capita than any other area in Canada. Why are we having such a hard time icing an actual NHL roster that can compete every night?

I've heard Bowmeester was not an Oilers fan by numerous people in town.

Johnny Boychuk was a fan.

Vernon Fiddler is from Edmonton but not sure if he was a fan.

I just remember him and his mother on some Oilers feature, and they said that he grew up a fan. He might've been over stating his fandom as a kid, but if I recall correctly, he did say he used to cheer for the Oilers.
