A team that relies so heavily on failing players cannot expect to improve. Water finds its level. the Sedins have found theirs.

Stop posting this garbage everywhere, the Canucks have an above average 1st line to blame their short comings on them is pure lunacy.

Continued development of the young players - Horvat, Hutton, Baertschi, Virtanen, McCann, Gaunce, Etem, Vey, Granlund, etc. It's not certain all of these will be on the team, but those that survive the summer (QO's) and training camp / pre-season need to show linear, continued development. Horvat in particular has proven he can score, he now has to improve his defensive game at the NHL level.

Yes anytime a team is rolling with this many young players in the lineup they're always the darkhorse chance that enough of them concurrently breakout at the same time, then suddenly you have a deep & effective forward group. The team that always comes to mind for me here is Buffalo in 2005-06. Weren't expected to do much as prior to the lockout they missed the playoffs with an 85 point season, but then had about half a dozen breakout years from guys in the 20-25 range and put up 110 and 113 points the next two seasons making it to the 3rd round each year.

We really gotta fix that defense though, so I guess the same thing applies with Tryamkin, Pedan, and Larsen. If we go into the season with Sbisa, Bartkowski, and Weber caliber dmen starting in our 4-6 slots then we're pretty much screwed no matter what happens.
