When will Roy put Iginla on Duchenes wing?

What counts, are we talking a shift or do they have to start the game that way?

From the start of games. I don't think it matters since he never have ended up with Duchene-Iginla through all his line juggling in games. Roy seems to have decided these two don't work together.

Why would he put an old scrub like Iggy on Dutchy's wing when he can put a core player like Holden there instead?

Something's gotta happen soon with the top 6.
For a while I've wanted to see:

Landeskog - O'Reilly - MacKinnon
Tanguay - Duchene - Iginla
McLeod - Talbot - Briere
Whatever scrubs are being called up and sent down.

Yup.

I'm more looking forward to seeing Tanguay with Iginla. When it was tried, it was very early on and Tanguay didn't have his game on yet. He's been much better since but those 2 have amazing chemistry together, kind of surprised it hasn't happened.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Tanguay play with MacKinnon at some point. Again, same deal...it was tried very briefly during the first 5-6 games of the year. Tanguay is the closest kind of playmaker we have to a guy like Drouin...they might fit well together.

So either:

Tanguay-Duchene-Iginla
Landeskog-ROR-MacKinnon

OR

Landeskog-Duchene-ROR
Tanguay-MacKinnon-Iginla

I'd love to see either combo tried for like 3 straight games....just to see what happens.

MacKinnon and Tanguay I wanted to see for sure at the beginning.
I think ROR would benefit the team being back at C with Landeskog.
And MacKinnon worked very well on RW last year.
It's worth a shot.
I think aside from Duchene, no one in the top 6 has really brought it this year. MacK is picking up points, but he doesn't seem nearly as lethal.

when we signed iggy i was really excited to see him play with landeskog and help landy develop more into that power forward role. what if there was a landy duchy iggy line? now i don't know. nothing is really working consistently in the top 6.
my vote is never unfortunately

1 shift so far this game.

That was with Iginla coming out of the penalty box, so it doesn't really count.

In the post game press conference Roy said he will "live and die" with the top two lines looking like they do.

Not that I expect Roy to change the lines any time soon, but that response was in reference to Chambers asking if he might try putting one of the "pluggers" on the top lines because they're looking for the perfect play too often. I think he meant he'll keep the same guys in the top 6, not necessarily the same lines.

Why would a Landy-ROR-MacK line be any less of a disaster now? If we swapped tanguay and iginla that could work nicely, but putting that line together again just won't work.

Patrick Sacco refuses to do anything that will get wins. Hence playing Holden, telling us Carl Stollery is some kind of amazing Dman etc.

Lol that's pretty weak.

A bit harsh for a guy that hasn't had his starter for most of the year and his top players not performing up to expectations....at some point, it's on THEM.

How about playing Holden when hes easily the worse player? Telling us Stollery has been the best call up? Thats Sacco'esque. Pickard has been our best call up easily and Holden should be eating ketchup packets out of a trash can in his members only jacket outside a 24 hr porn shop. Holden shouldnt be playing hockey in the NHL, AHL, CHL, EDHL etc.

The question that was asked besides Pickard which skater was the best callup, he said Everberg but he was injured so then Stollery. Was clear to me this answer was more about not being in love with any of the small forwards he's seen than some infatuation with Stollery, who hasn't been spectacular but certainly not bad. And Holden has been demoted to the doghouse, not sure why people don't see it that way. He played like 3 minutes other than PK last game.

He said Stollery had been our best skater call up actually. They repeated that a few times last game. That's a lot closer to the truth.

I think all AHL skaters, with the exception of Everberg, have been non-factors. Apart from a few penalties, they have just been there for 5-10 minutes a game.

This is what I was thinking too. Replicates that Landeskog-Stastny-MacKinnon line of last year too.
