Aside from a recent win with a Reid Boucher goal, our record in Zona is absolutely putrid

Usually get no puck possession out there and are skated into the ground by Zona

We’ve won 2 of our last 4 trips there, but the last 2 are losses. We won there in 14-15, which was the year before the Reid Boucher goal and Cory shutout.

I love how they're splitting Wood and Zacha apart because of ONE bad game after they had success together. :banghead:

He suffered a pretty gruesome looking eye injury from an errant high stick last month. I won't share it here, you can look it up if you wish to see.

He's doing off ice workouts but is out indefinitely.
Holy shit, just looked it up. That is scary stuff.

I think they're splitting them apart to move Wood up with Zajac and Coleman if they're going to take Quenneville out of the lineup.

It makes sense in theory based on that.

I guess the theory makes sense, except Wood and Zacha work so well together. They bring out the best in each other. They should be a permanent pairing.

If it were me, I'd reunite Noesen with Coleman and Zajac and put Coleman on the left. I'm still kind of surprised that line hasn't been put back together much this year.

I've said this before. I don't think the line you play on should be 100% based on your performance. Some players just have chemistry with other players. The Coleman Zajac Noesen line had chemistry. Wood and Zacha have chemistry. Why are we so willing to split them apart after only one or two bad games?

FINALLY, coleman gets 2nd line duty to start the game. interesting with zacha though... if he can help make that 3rd like produce, then he'll solidify his role as a middle six C, IMO. this would prove that he can drive a line
