Some are just grabbing the all the best players and tossing them on the 3rd or 4th line--some of the our best players were bad checkers and could not play in their own zone and did not have that much grit

There is a huge difference between old goalies vs today's goalies. I would pick Mike Smith\Koskinen over Fuhr\Moog just based on technique, fitness, flexibility etc.

Smith/Koskinen should not be viewed in the same light as Fuhr, sorry. Koskinen uses his size but gives up rebounds and often is not quick enough to adjust his play. There is a reason why first Talbot and then Smith has nearly taken his job, Moog I agree with, he is in the same category as osgood, Vernon and Mike Smith

Why thanks! I put Marchant with McDavid for his defensive acumen and forecheck and he can flat out fly so he could keep up with 97.

Mclelland is one of my all time favorite Oilers and he scored maybe the biggest goal in Oiler history in that 1-0 win in Game 1 on the Island when we won our first Cup.
