What would our lineup look like if we still had Grabner and Hodgson ?

This is not a thread to start trade arguments.

But Im curious what our starting lineup would look like if we had them and not the forwards that are in their spots.

Hodgson would probably have the second line center spot locked because Kesler is injured too much.

And I could see Grabner being on the second or third line.

Or something along those lines. I wonder where this comes too in terms of the cap?

Kesler on the wing ? Is that doable ?

Schroeder would still be in Chicago.

Hodgson's dad wouldn't stand for that lineup.

If that was so easy, why didn't we do that to keep Hodgsons old man happy ?

Because it wouldn't have been the best lineup we could ice. You don't build a team around a dad's demands. Plus, you want Kesler playing their best forwards and Hodsgon sheltered. Can't do that with them on the same line.

Btw, you realize Kesler has played wing effectively before (with Sundin), right?

As for whether you would put him on the wing and give Hodsgon the center spot...highly debatable, I wouldn't...but Kesler on the wing is definitely doable.

If Kes could play on the wing then I don't think it was worth keeping him in the center spot just to prove a point to Mr. Hodgson.

That is what should have been done.

That's right. Your selfish game of "what if" set off a horrific butterfly effect that forever changed the Canucks roster for the worse!

In my opinion he's more of a winger type of player

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Kesler-Grabner
Booth-Hodgson-Hansen ---3rd line
Higgins-Lapierre-Weise

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Edler-Tanev
Garrison-Alberts

Cant be done.
