What player's defensive reputation do you find overrated?

Very very good defensively, but still overrated, especially by Flyers fans.

Karlsson. The idea among fans is that he was poor defensively and then became elite at it last season but in reality he is good not great defensively and has been that way for years now.

Just wait til Ellis comes back and you'll see.

Keep hearing "just wait until player x comes back" or "wait until player x gets it going" but they are very mediocre. They were mediocre last season (with a fantastic playoff run, I won't discount that) and so far they have been very mediocre. They got worse in the offseason but for some reason everyone said they would be the best team in the west. They sure as heck don't look like it and I don't think Ellis takes them from a bubble team to a sure-fire playoff team.

I think people are just afraid of being wrong about how good they thought they were.
