What's the difference between the film and the show?

I enjoyed the film.

Haven't seen the film (I will now) but looking at the cast really quickly, the characters.

Remember the baseball card guy from BCS? He's in it as Colin Robinson. An energy vampire who feeds by boring people.

You remember the two cops in the WWDitS movie? They got their own show in New Zealand. Officers O'Leary and Minogue bring their deadpan straight man act to battle werewolves, ghosts, zombies, alien clones, telekinetic witches and other odd things that go bump in the New Zealand night, led by the rotund Sgt Maaka of Wellington PD.

On youtube at the moment. It comes and goes; no North American distribution that I'm aware of. Catch it while you can.
