Montreal should trade for Coburn. Their defense will need a guy like him if they plan on winning multiple rounds.

any team would be wise to do such things.

We piss and moan about Coburn in the regular season, but dude has been nails every post season.

Here's what I would try to do; not sure how feasible these deals are but here goes:

Trade Coburn for a 1st (or try to trade to NJ for Mike Cammalleri which I doubt they would do)
Trade Luke Schenn or Grossmann to ANA for a LW like Etem, Smith-Pelley, Cogliano, etc
Trade for a backup goalie like Jack Campbell DAL, Mark Visentin AZ, Zac Fucale MON

Grossmann or Luke Schenn alone won't get Etem. Fucale isn't a backup. Coburn may get a late 1st but his play hasn't been too good since coming back from his injury.

Grossmann for a 3rd
Waive Zac

Those 2 moves would greatly improve Flyers chances at the playoffs

This team would be lucky to make the playoffs and even if they do most likely a first round exit. Only moves that should be made are to get rid of the excess not needed.

Bruins fan here. Got a trade scenario for you.

To PHI:
Subban
1st or two 2nds
Koko/Ferlin/Other prospect

To BOS:
Simmonds

You get a potential franchise goalie for the next 10-15 years and a solid pick and we get the RW we need.

Thoughts?
this isn't the worst offer I have heard, so at least you get relative cred for not posting tripe. It's in a vacuum at least close.

However, no thanks. Simmer has been the 3rd most important flyer, signed to a great deal.

It's going to have to be a joke overpay for him, as his value to us is way off right now.

This team is the epitome of mediocrity. Their 5 vs. 5 goal scoring is terrible. Honestly they only have the ability to score consistently on the powerplay. I really hope this little run towards the playoffs does not mess with Hexy's head. He needs to unload some defensive contracts not only to get some breathing room on the cap but also make some spots available for the young kids next year.

We have a franchise goalie. He's 26. His name is Steve Mason.

Good day.

congrats! this makes no sense

What doesn't make sense?

Both players are a detriment to the team. Grossmann is worth nowhere near a 3rd. We'd be lucky to get a 5th for him. He is a $1 million defensemen making $3.5 million.

Rinaldo has negative value. Waiving him and bringing in a competent 4th liner would be a major improvement. The team actually played better with Lecavalier on that line than Rinaldo. Not sure why Berube made the change in the first place.
