What Do UFA's Consider When Signing?

What type of things do you think they consider? The city life they are going to be living in? How good of a team they are going to be playing for? What kind of ice time and role they will have?

I'm sure all of those thing apply, and the obvious money / contract length, but what else? What other sorts of things would any UFA consider before signing somewhere?

1. Why wasn't this posted on the "other" board that thread is basically on Page 8 by now!

I think you have to look at it from the Single/Married + kids thing:

Single:
-Nightlife
-Size of city
-Will the team be able to compete
-Will you be challenged to your highest level
-What type of minutes can you expect going in based on your talents and the talents already on the team
-How close are the teammates to one another
-Is the coach and GM known to be player oriented/can they keep their promises

Married or kids involved:
-Does the wife want to move

depends on thier age

Some are all about the money
Some are all about winning
Some it is about security
Some it is about how much travel does that team have
Other don't like playing where Hockey is the god like sport in the city

Depends which teams are approaching them. Absurd money/terms/NTC will prevail in many cases.
