That song is from her 1991 album "House of Hope". Union was released in 1988, and I agree that it's a great album.

It's thrown into the middle of my copy of Union

That explains that mystery.

I'm glad to see a few other Toni Childs fans. I'm typically met with blank stares if I mention her.

Back to Black- Amy Winehouse (best modern pop album IMO)
Dead & Born & Grown- The Staves

Taylor Swift-1989.......as performed by Ryan Adams ;p

Some of my favorite artist are Female/Male vox combos ( The xx, Fleetwood Mac, The Head and the Heart)
Of course Adele is legendary. Her albums lack some fluidity though, she crafts singles more than a whole piece of art, imo. But she'e incredible at it

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

I like a ton of groups with females in them, the Kills and the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs both have some great albums.

Great album..

I also thought Madonna had a good run of albums thru the '8os.
In the '9os, I liked K's Choice, but I think she had a male backing band. Same thing with Gen from the Genitorturers..

And lots of decent female country albums over the years. Gretchen Wilson's 'Here for the Party' is one I remembering listening to a lot 15 years back..
