This albums gets a bad rep it's a very good hard rock record. ReLoad is a different story that album is not good and Death Magnetic was boring. I actually prefer St. Anger to either because at least that album has 3-4 great workout tracks.

I agree it does get a bad rap. I really like it.

King Nothing is one of my favorite songs from them and Hero Of The Day is underrated.

I have this theory that if Wilco or Grant Lee Buffalo (they had a big 120 minutes Era hit with Mockingbird in the mid-90s) or some band with country-ish roots put out Mama Said it would have gone down as a 90s classic. But because it was too much of a departure from Metallica it was panned.

It's one of the most complete songs from a songwriting perspective they've ever made that is radio ready and major label produced.

Maybe I'm in the few here but I loved DTB, I really liked Susan Tedeschi and her band, and I loved when they toured together, but as the TTB, it's just too polished and the albums had no punch.
