What AHL players are NHL calibre?

I don't know why but Pulkkinen comes to my mind. He can play over PPG and win scoring races in the AHL but still in the NHL he either plays as some sort of a grinder or just underperforms.

Yeah pulkinnen is a weird one.. judging by his ahl performance he is a nhl caliber player but in the nhl he never produced well... maybe due to usage or something i dont know they should give him a chance in an offensive role in arizona

Sweden
Hutchinson and Pickard

Also, compared to some other lower tier grinders, Harry Zolnierczyk and Marek Hrivik comes to mind as a couple of players who should have seen more career NHL games than they have so far.

If you play him in your top 6, he just gets overmatched by opponents best lines.

And not really suitable for bottom 6 in my opinion..

Just one of those guys, one level below he gets a lot of chances due to players being more prone to mistakes, one level up and those chances vanish leaving him with pretty much nothing to help the team.

He could be a PP specialist only, but you don't really see that from forwards.

Yea honestly he's perfect for the KHL where he would get more space to shoot

Travis Dermott is ripe and deserves a shot. Many suspect he's NHL capable right now.

The AHL isn't hurting his development yet though.

Kapanen and Soshnikov for the Leafs. Potentially Dermott. Liljegren should be a future NHLer, but isn't ready yet.

There are probably a bunch of guys who could play 4th line minutes, but simply for development purposes its better to give them 20 minutes a game in the AHL. Puljujarvi is the first guy that comes to mind for this.

Bengsston,Sprong,Blueger,Di Pauli for the Pens. All could play NHL minutes right now.

Is MDC in Brideport NHL calibre? I see he is 21 and was taken top 5 overall.

You'd have to think Strome too is an NHLer, Down in Tucson
