Hell yeah, the big boy is back!

Christ...why...looked like he put up miserable numbers in Florida/their AHL team last year too  Ah well, just the #3.

He had a brutal last season, especially after he was waived. But clearly the Avs like him and wanted him back... As long as he stays in the AHL this is probably fine, but let's hope he doesn't get near the Avs crease again.

Meh, wasn't much else out there to be the bus rider, plus the org is familiar with him. Hopefully our goalie coach can undo whatever trauma Florida's goalie coach inflicted on him.

Good depth signing and liked him on the team. Terrible in FL and was lit up for 15 goals in 2 games. Low risk deal.

Sakic and JJ playing 4D chess here. They knew he was getting claimed on waivers so JJ decided to play like crap for Florida on purpose, all the while having an understanding with Sakic that he'd get re-signed as an UFA. Now that he's performed terribly away from the Avs no one will want to claim him off waivers again so his long-term future in Denver is secured.

Probably impressed with his performance against Montreal in the final game of the regular season...so he´s back!
