Hard to believe the Avs are still the top offensive team in the league when...

Kadri no points in 11 straight games
Nichushkin no points in 9 straight
Jost no points in 5 straight games
Donskoi 1 point in last 9 games
Girard 1 point in last 10 games

Hopefully Newhook can spark some of these guys.

1st line and Makar going en fuego since the beginning of March is hiding a lot of our weaknesses.

I don't particularly care if Avs face Wild or Blues, but I would prefer home ice advantage. Ideally that means Avs win the division but they can't run the best players into the ground getting there.

As long as Avs are healthy, I like their chances against anyone.

**** Nazem Kadri, time to send a message to his lazy ass.

Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen
Burakovsky - Soderberg - Donskoi
Newhook - Jost - Nichushkin
Compher - Bellemare - Sherwood

Honestly I’d be down with that for a game. Bednar has tried demoting him and it’s not working. Maybe a night of nachos will do it.

Kadri almost strikes me as the type that would react pretty negatively to getting scratched. I'm all for it but I worry it makes things worse (not that that's possible on the scoresheet).
Of course he would. We witnessed it after he was taken off PP1. At least now he’s trying to get his game back but when they took him off PP1 he stopped trying for like 3 weeks until Bednar had that discussion with him.

The depth on the Avs really needs to get going... over the last 6 games, it has basically been the top line + Maker + Burkie (which Burkie was on for the first 3 games) rowing the boat (Toews has been good too, but a step back from that group). The middle six + Graves + Nemeth need to pick up their games big time.
