The NCAA may not have penalized them for the sins of Sandusky and company, but the court of public opinion certainly can. People standing and cheering during a tasteless and revolting tribute to Paterno indicates that the culture (heavy emphasis on "cult") that allowed such crimes to occur is still alive and well.
