No Herbstreit, PSU should drop. They should have won this easily in the first half, then closed things out when it was 26-14. Penn State always finds ways to lose a game or two even when they're really talented. At home, this was their game to lose. They haven't played anyone until now and didn't get it done. Unfortunately with the rest of the conference any other wins really won't give them much traction. They'll need a bunch of other teams to f-up along the way.

They had two separate leads of 13 and 12 and lost at home. They deserve nothing.

So to look way too far in the future, how would this play out to you:

Alabama ends up undefeated. Ohio State ends up undefeated. Clemson ends up undefeated. Notre Dame ends up undefeated. Oklahoma ends up undefeated.Georgia's only loss is against Alabama in the SEC title game.

Which four teams make the playoffs?

Teams that should make it: Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson, OSU

Teams that will make it: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, 3rd SEC team

Joey Galloway is such a goofball homer. Praising Haskins for throwing a bunch of screens, criticizes Kyler Murray for hitting open receivers beyond 10 yards.

If there's 4 undefeated teams, they will all get in.

Right, but I said 5 undefeateds and Georgia losing to Alabama in the conference title game.
Mis-counted.

Well, there was the one year that the Big 12 was flat out told their champion didn't get in because they didn't have a championship game, so that would seem to be the precedent.

Yeah I say ND gets left out. Clemson, Bama, OSU, OU/Texas duh.

PAC-12 Best chance is if the Huskies run the table and Auburn causes Chaos.

Pac-12 is done. They've lost every major inter-conference game (USC to Texas, Stanford to ND, Washington to Auburn, etc)....if they have someone with one loss and there's a handful of other undefeated or even one loss teams they won't sniff the playoff.

3 SEC teams in the top 5. WVU really wishing they had that NC state game right now. Auburn moves up 2 spots by struggling to beat Southern Mississippi, Penn State loses 2 spots by losing to the #3 ranked team by 1. Might as well just schedule cake walk OOC games.

The committee is never leaving Alabama, Ohio State, or Notre Dame out, so you could write those three in stone. My guess is they might screw Oklahoma to let in a second SEC team. (And if it was instead an unbeaten WVU team, they would 100% screw them). Clemson probably left out due to laughably weak schedule.

Too bad Penn State didn't win, but we finally picked up some AP votes to go along with an increasing number of Coach's poll votes.

We've got Arkansas State at home next Tuesday on ESPN2. Maybe more people will take note if we put up another dominating performance.
