Final week Saturday for the first time I think since 2007?

Kansas City @ Denver
Dallas @ Philadelphia

Wonder what ESPN is gonna feel about airing a preseason game at night

The 49ers shouldn’t be considered tied with a team they beat. It’s really that simple.
Then how do you handle a situation where team A beat team B, team B beat team C, and team C beat team A? Where they all have the same record?

You have to beat all the teams you're in the tiebreaker with (or have lost to both, which would eliminate you from the tiebreaker) otherwise it goes to the next tiebreaker. It's always been that way. It's literally the only way to do it. If the Saints win and the Eagles and 49ers both lose, you're still tied with the Saints, who are also tied with the Eagles. Therefore you must still be tied with the Eagles.

This is stupid.

They beat Philly and should only be behind Philly if they finish with more wins. Just because a team unrelated finishes with the same record shouldn’t mean anything.

Please explain how they’re all “tied” if one of the teams has beaten another? That isn’t a tie and this current tiebreaker should only matter if none of the teams involved played h2h.
Because they would have the same record, and by rule the head to head tiebreaker does not apply in a multi team tiebreaker unless one team beats both of the other two teams or one team loses to both of the other two. That's not the case here, hence they still would be tied.

Why should the Saints be considered ahead of the Eagles in your scenario (which is what immediately jumping to a Saints-49ers tiebreaker and dropping the Eagles would do) when they didn't play them?

Not really on topic for the game, but by the time ABC gets around to airing the Super Bowl, I think Fowler and Herbstreit are gonna be full time to MNF.

Which isn't until 2026, so, plenty of time.
