How does this defense leak so many goals though? Should be the best D in the league pretty much..

Soft goals from the goalie is part of it, but the D core has been extra mistake prone this year.

Toews has been a lot more mistake prone after the Cup win up until the last month, where he's played well. Bo's been more mistake prone than ever in his career.

Same with Cale, I don't think he's been healthy all year, and has made his share of preventable mistakes, usually trying to do a little too much.

Girard has been about as mistake prone as usual. Same with JJ, though he plays less minutes. And Malinski's a rookie so he makes the occasional mistake himself.

If you're a contender though, the regular season is for working your way through these things, so hopefully they can clean it up before the playoffs.
