I am not sure what it says about the OC when our only successful plays seem to be when the play breaks down and Stafford is able to improvise rather than run the stupid play called by Jim-Bob.

Just saw the replay of that on nfl.com; Jones hit his head hard on the turf and stayed down for a bit. Could that have been a concussion?

They had something dialed up. You don't use a 7 step drop to check it down. A more seasoned Trubisky probably puts the ball at risk but he's still a rookie.

That play in particular probably had a touchdown/checkdown option depending on the coverage Detroit played. Detroit anticipated as such and probably played a two deep zone taking away anything deep.
