I wouldn't be surprised if we approached youngest 5 by next year, as I assume Hannan, Burish, and Scott will be gone (possibly a mistake to assume this). Replace Tennysson, Irwin, and Hannan with Mueller, Shauser, and Doherty (awful lot of youth there), Niemi with Groesenik; and Soctt, Burish, and Kennedy with Tierney, Hamilton, and Goldobin.

Replace Sheppard, Burish, Scott, Kennedy, and Desjardins with Hamilton, Tierney, Goldobin, Gooderow, and McGinn.

Brings the average to 26.2. Personally, I think Scott, Kennedy, and Burish will be gone, and I expect Tierney/Hamilton, Goldobin, and McGinn or someone else, to take those spots in the near future.

Burish definitely gone, Scott will be gone unless he does well somehow, and this has been confirmed as Hannan's last season I believe.

Screw youth. They should sign Alfredsson imo. He would fix all 3 of the major flaws on the team.
1. Slap shot specialist on the PP
2. 2nd line winger
3. Leadership

Marleau - Couture - Nieto
Hertl - Thornton - Alfredsson
Sheppard - Pavelski - Wingels
Brown - Desjardins - Torres

PP
Marleau - Pavelski - Thornton
Alfredsson - Burns

Alfredsson's no leader. That punk move back during the finals when he fired a snapshot at Niedermayer after the whistle showed who he is.

MDZ signed today.

Philadelphia might be looking for a trading partner with Timmonen dealing with blood clots. (39 and blood clots? Might have to retire/not play.)

Yeah I know he signed today, I was saying I would have liked to try him out.

I thought I heard Timmonen is playing.

Never been a big Alfie fan either. He's always praised for being such a great guy, but I just don't see it. Good people can do bad things, and vice versa, but I've never been impressed by Alfredsson.

Wilson hasn't exactly done or said a whole lot to instill confidence in the fans that he intends on trying to win this season.

True, but if this team misses the playoffs with JT/PM still on the roster, I gotta think TM's head might roll. And if he also thinks that's a possibility, he'll make sure to ice the team that gives him the best chance to win. He probably already knows that doesn't include Scott.
