Crosby IS the focal point and IS the one who NEEDS to shoot, sorry if we have to hurt his butt buddy's feelings.

Yes, he is the focal point. All the more reason that it's crucial that he uses his linemates. Sure, in a perfect world it's Sid that's taking 95% of the shots that line generates but that's just not realistic. When teams double up on him and shadow him all over the ice he's gonna need to move the puck to his linemates. Acting like it's some monumental error to do so just shows a severe lack of knowledge about how the game works.

Again, Sid has had stretches this season where he was definitely over-passing but I think he's struck a nice balance since the coaching change. Expecting him to barge towards the net and shoot every time he touches the puck is just kind of dumb. Sometimes that play just isn't there and forcing it will only lead to turnovers(which will then become the Crosby related thing everyone *****es about).
