I think they've been roughly equal. I'd actually say James has somehow gotten better results than he's looked and Ned has looked better than his results. Ultimately, they've been about the same all told to me. I still don't have much confidence in Ned at this point, but he's looked okay enough to get some time until we get Petr back.

I'm not saying ditch Reimer, but he has not been himself. Ned has looked solid in his starts and James has looked shaky. But you are right the results have been about the same. We need Petr back ASAP but until then I would give Ned a chance to carry the number 1 games and have Reims be the backup u til he regains his form

The boys are undefeated lifetime with me over here on your board cheering for them.

We get one more W in tonight before I can’t cheer against my Hawks.
WHY WOULD YOU MENTION THIS? Don't you know better than to mention statistics like this? ARE YOU TRIPP TRACY? :sarcasm:

@MrazeksVengeance we may need you to TAKE VENGEANCE UPON THIS LOST SOUL IF WE LOSE

I'd still personally trust shaky Reimer over Ned, but that's just me. I'm still fine with giving Ned a little action until Petr comes back though. Like I've said, he's surpassed my expectations for him in these two starts so far even though I still see a lot of the things that make me question him as an NHL goalie. We'll see if he can continue.

Yeah, looking at some of their stats it does seem to the conclusion that Florida had been lucky at eking out wins and should regress a bit, especially since they have played mainly weak competition. Come at them hard and they should bend a bit.

Also, home coming for Reimer so how about Vinny Hatty and Reimer shutout???

True, but they have won two out of three against Tampa so far. Gonna be interesting to see where Florida ends up this season.

See this comment makes me wonder what color your glasses have been during the game James has started. He has looked very uncomfortable until late in the 3rd after giving up 3 or more goals. In his 2 starts Ned has looked worlds better then James. Now we all know can play better but this year he hasn't and if the Canes offense hasn't been one of the best in the league we would be in trouble
Reimer hasn’t been impressive but I still trust him more than a more twitchy and smaller Mrazek.

Teams will score on him more as more tape is available

much like the AHL, the team in front of him is going to have to be better in order for us to win.

D have gotta shut this one down. Ned can be beat up high on quick shots, even if they are from a bit out. This would be a good game to not really let the puck stay in our zone too much. I mean, every game is a good one to do that but this one especially. Florida's PP is good and their PK is bad so as another 'duh' statement, let's try to stay out of the box and pressure them in their zone.

Let's go with 4-2 Canes win on this one shall we :)

Weren't Peter and James Jesus' friends?

I have massive problem with the English-translated apostle name "James". Why, why isn't "Jacob" good enough you English-speaking bunch!? Am I supposed to believe some guy James went there in the AD 30 Holy Land besides Jesus? Did he have a special donkey installed with gadgets?

I dunno, I wouldn't say Ned has looked "worlds better". He got cleanly sniped a couple of times in the Dallas game. At this level, you want your goalie to stop pretty much anything he can see coming. If teams can put bullets past him a couple of times a game and also pick up a greasy goal or two, it makes it almost impossible for us to win.

Both goalies need to be better.

Every goalie in the NHL gives up the occasional bullet shot from plus snipers. The fact that he stood strong through OT and in the shootout was a good sign. He'll need more of those, of course.

Ned is several more games away before I have confidence in him. His nerves are showing. But he shows good quickness and though some of his puck handling hasn't worked out, I liked his thought process.

James looks nervy, too. Ducking on those high-risers.
