This is the second round of the playoffs and players on one line feel the only reason they are on the ice is to go injure other players.

If this is really what the team and the fans are thinking this series is close to over.

That's a wild overstatement of what happened. Fourth line is the heavy line, and they were to exact punishment that the refs wouldn't deal. No one was trying to hurt anyone, at least on our side. If Graves would have stood up like a man when Carrier challenged him, the game would have played on.

Lol OK if that's how you saw it. Do you really think Graves was trying to hurt Janmark? He lined up a big hit just the same as the 4th line does and got there a split second late. Reaves on the other hand is totally out of control. I'm really surprised they didn't give him something for the Suter hit, talk about something that looked like it was an attempt to injure. If not trying to injure, sure was a gutless act hitting a guy from behind that was nowhere near the action.

Both fanbases on this one are just losing their minds. Graves ain't going to fight Carrier, that's ridiculous. Maybe if another equally important defender for VGK came at him you might have seen something, but no player is dumb enough to take themselves off the ice for 5 or more minutes to fight Carrier unless its the last minute of a decided game. And the Avs fans who are convinced that the Knights just want to injure 5 of their players to even things up are losing all sense of reality too. This is playoff hockey in the series everyone has been looking forward to all year. So much petty hate going on right now. I just hope the two teams play a clean, but hard hitting game in the next one. Reaves being out increases the likelihood of it being that.

I dont think Graves was trying to hurt Janmark. What set the fourth line off is that when Knights f up, they answer the call and take the five for fighting. Graves was flippant about the hit and wouldn't answer when Carrier pulled his card, twice. So Reaves pulled it forcefully and overzealous and was rightly suspended for it. If the refs called the major and a game they should have for a direct headshot, none of the rest would have happened. If Graves would have dropped his gloves, traded a couple punches, and then turtled to the ice, that would would have been the end of it. But no, the refs don't ever seem to deem VGK brains worthy of protection, and there is a pretty longstanding tradition of enforcing when the refs won't, long before VGK was a thing.

If you're going to take a nap on the ice pretending to be seriously hurt to sell a call, don't come back to the bench 2 minutes later. :shakehead Now Reaves is going to come back and do something stupid again.
Watch for Graves’ antics all series. This is what he does; he’s a disgrace.
