First period is key tonight. For whatever reason, our first periods are horrible in Game 3 at home in the Berube era with the series tied at 1. Just sucks the life out of an amped up crowd. (I would know…I’ve been to all those games) But I think we’re gonna play well tonight especially with 50 on top of his game.

my colleague is attending a wedding in STL today as well, wonder if its the same one.

Rocking my vintage Blues Fuhr jersey. My Oilers Fuhr jersey seems to have gotten the job done yesterday so I'm hoping the Blues put this one away quickly and go up in the series.

Refalanche have no depth aside from the zebras.

All the pressure still falls on Colorado. We can thank the media, journalists, and the "analysts" for that. This organization having a cup in 2019 takes a lot of that pressure off. Just go out and get revenge from last year.
AVs can't compete against an (almost) injury free Blues squad. it'd be 2-0 sweep territory if the Blues had traveled to Denver and acclimatized immediately after beating Minnesota.

So Hand Pass Sharks, 7-2 Bruins ... yeah that's rough. They owe you one.

It's hard to say how much acclimatization played a role (if at all). What we do know is that the Blues made significant positional changes including moving Barbashev to the wing allowing Schenn to play center, thereby boosting our faceoff percentages in addition to developing a harder forecheck and most importantly, running a 1-2-2 neutral zone trap which disrupts Colorado's transition game and forces them to dump the puck where Binnington can retrieve it and start an effective breakout.

What makes the Blues-Bruins series even more lop-sided than people realize is that the Blues came home to immense pressure in game 3, the first SCF home game in St. Louis in decades as well as in game 6, the organization's first opportunity to win the cup, especially on home ice. Getting comfortable under pressure is part of being an athlete, but those were still significant distractions nonetheless.

Berube's adjustments were key, but that doesn't change the fact that other than OReilly in the 1st period, not a single Blues player was skating hard - they all looked gassed and were on their heels as a result. Ive spent time in the mountains and it takes like 48 hours to adjust to the oxygen levels. Game 2 they kept up from the opening puck drop.

Avs will come out flying and will try to get us to play on our heels.

Need everyone focused and ready. Don't get behind early. Bend but don't break.

You got it brotha. Paid a grand for a single to sit in the bleeds for that Bruins game right after Gunnarson scored so that was particularly painful. And of course most recently, that nightmare Game 3 against Minny which is one of the worst playoff games I’ve witnessed in person.
