I don't get why our PP sucks as much as it does, given all the talent we have to work with. That needs to be solved.

I feel like we'd have better success if we literally just through the PP in a blender and threw 5 random guys out there and said go score.

Wild card doesn’t mean anything in the playoffs.

Putting that all on Pettersson, while a good story, just isn't accurate. It's narrative.

One goal against is solely on Pettersson, another goal is largely on him. Then you take into account his endless miss plays with the puck offensively as your 11.6 mill game breaking superstar...

That's not narrative, that's fact, that's accurate. Watch a guy like Pasta or other 11 mil+ players and come back and tell me our guy is on that level.

Management rebuilding the coaching staff and bringing in such a robust coaching staff but leaving out a dedicated PP coach is such an oversight.
It’s on the players too, but Tocchet dicking around with the PP is in fact going to cost us a game and potentially the series.

Even though everyone hated the heck out of his powerplays too by the end.



Reality is...PP coaching can only go so far. You need truly creative players with elite offensive instincts to operate a truly great Powerplay. Which will then morph organically on the fly into all sorts of different looks. The way the stupid Oilers do with McDavey and Drats rotating around and marshalling the whole operation with a bunch of other plugs and the vaunted "Bouche Bomb".
