Management rebuilding the coaching staff and bringing in such a robust coaching staff but leaving out a dedicated PP coach is such an oversight.

Not a good look by Quinn on that play. Tocchet is probably pissed. Get the f*** up the ice and score, you're down by 2.

Have you guys ever played hockey? Do you know how exhausted you're going to be after a two minute shift? And you would take the chance of surrendering a momentum-killing-end-of-period goal if you make a mistake and your backup goalie can't save shit?

It looks bad but was a very smart play.

Again, isolating it to one player is myopic. You've just shifted the lens from DeSmith to Pettersson.

They lack shooting talent throughout their line-up. It's what happens when you overpay 3rd liners and fill out with defensive defenders. They try to play the game to a stand still while they're top5 set is not on the ice and that simply isn't good enough in terms of offense.

The blame here clearly rests on a couple players.

There's no such thing as a perfect team. Pettersson in the past has been someone who is capable of elevating linemates and carrying a line. That should be happening, That isn't happening.

Would it be nice to have Guentzel instead of Lindholm? Sure. But right now we're watching a team that should have a 100-point C and a Vezina-level G who instead has a bad backup and a line-killing zombie in their place.
