The late Blues man Magic Sam rocking the house. Both songs on these video are great but skip to 3:27, amazing.

Funeral by Arcade Fire is definetly a brilliant album. "Neighborhood #3: Power Out" would probably be on my "20 songs to help me survive a desert island" playlist. I love their past 2 albums as well but I can live without Neon Bible.

I think as an album, Neon Bible is better than Reflektor. But Reflektor's high points are really, really good. Probably my favorite songs by them.

Admitedly it's their album i've listened to the least, so I will give it a thorough listen over. I agree with you on Reflektors high points. For me, Reflektor, It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus), Here Comes the Night Time, and Porno are all great songs..and you can really get a sense for James Murphy of LCD Soundsystems production input on them.

Generally, as far as AF albums go, I'm more likely to listen to Neon Bible all the way through without skipping any songs than I am Reflektor. But Intervention and Antichrist Television Blues are the only songs on it that approach Awful Sound/It's Never Over, Afterlife, and the others you mentioned.

Forgot Afterlife, another amazing song.

Funeral was one of the first albums I listened to that really got me into music. I was actually just listening to it the other night, and I'd have to rank it above anything else they've done since just for the pure nostalgia. Hard to believe it's been 10 years...

This is Death. As their Documentary title says, Before there was punk there was a band called Death. Check it out on Netflix.

No.

This is Death. ;)

Sorry, but they sound like a million other screamo metal bands. Thee original DEATH, three black brothers from Detroit, created a sound unlike that expected from African-Americans in Motown during the 70's. They were original. Originality wins out in the end.;)

Blasphemy. That band created an entire genre of music, Death Metal.

I also know the other Death that you posted.

I'm a big fan of guitar driven rock n roll and World On Fire by Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators is a great album. I've also been listening to Van Halen's A Different Kind Of Truth and Fair Warning (perhaps the best of all the Van Halen albums). Another album that gets a lot of playing time in my collection is Black Sabbath Paranoid. Just some great albums. I think I might listen to some of the remastered Led Zeppelin albums tonight though.
