I kind of get it if they wanted to ease him into being the starter and not give him a whole pressure-filled offseason.

As long as they are quick to make the switch I'm fine with how it's been handled so far. Heinicke needs to keep playing well of course, but between this game and the playoff game he's building a strong case for himself.
