He was the biggest surprise in camp with a solid performance all around.
Had a good first game strong along the boards, some good pk shifts and that reverse hit on Schenn was a thing of beauty. Need to find a replay of that.
Yeah I wonder what the story with that is, lolWaltteri is a dumb name. The only difference between it and Valtteri is that he has to introduce himself by saying "Waltteri with a W", because it's not really a letter that exists naturally in the Finnish language.
He gets cooler initials I guess?
I've always thought it's just making your child's life unnecessarily more difficult, lol. Some people like to take traditional names and make them "international" I guess. Since 2010 there's been ~6000 kids named Valtteri, and a ~350 named Waltteri. Another popular one is Nico instead of Niko, same story, that child will always be "Nico with a C".Yeah I wonder what the story with that is, lol
Makes me wonder what all the kids named Khaleesi or Arya out there are thinking about this.I've always thought it's just making your child's life unnecessarily more difficult, lol. I don't know if this is controversial to say but... it always seems to be teenage parents doing this.

Also I just realized the last Finn to play for Tampa was also called Valtteri. Fitting.
Christopher Gibson played a couple of games during the Covid seasons. Now there's a traditional Finnish name. And then there’s this guy:

That’s probably going to be a less funny read given the ratlines and symphatizers in various South American countries after WW2…I need more of a back story of this guy. I am dying from laughter here.

I went to Super Nintendo World at Universal in Osaka, I was thoroughly upset at the lack of Waluigi merch. I wanted a Waluigi hat so bad. There’s Mario and Wario
