I guess we can't blame the islanders stat kepeers for pumping Martins stats anymore lol

If Fedun can keep this play up (not the points, but his ability to move the puck) and Franson keeps upping his value, maybe we flip Franson to a team looking for a defenseman for a playoff run. We get a younger d man or piece to the long term puzzle and Fedun just slides into Fransons minutes.
That wouldnt be a bad thing
That being said if and or when we are actually healthy we can send grant back to rochester and let girgs center the 4th...
You and I both know he will be on Eichel's wing when Jack returns.
The interesting question for me is who will be the LW? Personally I'd like to see Foligno get a shot. That would certainly increase his chances of erupting as you put it. Because another aspect of Eichel returning (along with ROR) is the likely reduction in ES ice time for Larsson and his line. FLG has been one of our top 2 lines since Eichel's been out. I'm very curious to see how Disco handles that. Does he keep Larsson as the top matchup center? Or does he go with ROR's line? Because that will influence ice time.
Foligno - Eichel - Reinhart
Girgensons - O'Reilly - Okposo
Kane - Larsson - Gionta
Carrier - Grant - Moulson
I like the look of that, Foligno playing as good as he is would look great next to Eichel. I love the look of Kane with Larsson as well.
swap Carrier and Girgs and you've got something
Foligno - Eichel - Reinhart
Girgensons - O'Reilly - Okposo
Kane - Larsson - Gionta
Carrier - Grant - Moulson

What do you think Carrier's offensive upside is for this season? Because I seriously doubt it's higher than Girgensons'
Why?
Except for Rochester. I think it's important for Rochester to be a winner for development purposes. That said, I do really like what Fedun is bringing, and it is more evident than ever that Murray needs to address the Sabres organization dearth of PMDs.
I can still see Girgensons potting 30+ ES points on Eichel's wing.
Wait, are you talking about Zemgus Girgensons?
Is it really so outrageous to think a top 15 pick can be a 35 point player if given top 6 time?
It's outrageous to still use draft position as the crux of your argument 5 years later...
I can use his production when in a top 6 role last year
Yea, if you want to make the case for why he should play top 6 minutes over far more talented players... be my guest.
He just can't finish anymore. He has done nothing to earn any playing time whatsoever on Jack's wing. Girgs right now to me isn't much better than Mair. Same hard worker, less physical, about the same finishing skills.
Eichel-Girgensons was the most productive forward combination on the team last year.
Wow that was easy.
You wouldn't say Eichel and Reinhart down the stretch?
