actually, it's the tiebreaker for the final award, and the panel of 27 choosing the award recipient may use it as a tiebreaker for themselves as well if they are undecided.

I voted for Hutton just because I couldn't help myself but we all know this award should go to Johnny Gaudreau. Helluva player. Boston College in general is one helluva team.

Yeah, in all honesty Gaudreau's very likely to win it but it'll probably help Hutton's chances for next year (if he stays in college) if he finishes among the top. Maine's no Boston College so any recognition and/or attention for him would be great.

Agreed. Hutton himself is having a fantastic season and probably should be one of the finalist but Gaudreau is obviously the best player in college hockey.

Maine isn't too shabby a program either. I think Hutton will get his recognition.
