He's played like 14 total minutes in 2 games. Not much to really say.

there is no perfect formula to rebuild, a lot of it is random luck...being bad in the right drafts, having other good players around to support the young stars, a good coach or player hitting the market at the right time, etc

Yep. You can luck into a generational player like McDavid and still be mediocre. You could not luck into a Patrick Kane or Auston Matthews and the whole trajectory of your franchise changes. Just get as many lottery tickets as you can, in the best possible draft positions to maximize your chances.

It's not. Vlasic is a much better athlete. Vlasic can probably carve out a decent NHL career. Svedberg got a cup of coffee.
