I’m confident Vinny will be back next season at a high level of performance.
It’s his character that makes him perform, and I’m willing to bet he’s willing to do whatever he can to adjust.
I sure hope you’re right. Since he came back, his character has made him skate slowly, shoot poorly, pass worse and generally give up.

What to you is suggesting he’s “generally given up”???
He is a player that relies on conditioning to give his 110% and he probably is in poor condition right now after coming off injury. He needs an offseason to freshen up.
It would be a huge mistake to assume he’s peaked.

I’m not assuming that he’s given up. That’s why I said “I hope you’re right”. But if he came back way too early and is in poor condition still 2 months later, that’s a big mistake. So either he came back wayyyy too early and isn’t anywhere near in good shape or he’s given up.

I think this is a fair analysis. I just hope he does not play spooked next season ( if he is not traded ). He was always pretty aggressive and finished his checks well. Something our team lacks desperately.

He'll have 5 months to get back in shape, wouldn't worry too much yet. Early part of next season will be a better indicator.

That’s true, however he’s an emotional guy and he’s been listless. Maybe it’s simply because he can’t do what he normally does and is depressed.

This thread again. I wouldn’t worry about Trochek unless he performs poorly next year as well. The dude missed like half the season to a gruesome injury. Before then he had only been trending up each year for production. The guy also has fight so I’d expect him to come back strong next year.

This is what I am holding onto. I am thinking he was convinced to come back to early and was not 100%.

Every season is different for players. He certainly has the talent get get back on track next season. I’m pretty sure Trocheck will be fine. Tough year for him.
