Has an undrafted kid ever made more than 1m coming out of the NCAA?
(I don't believe he'd have to pass through waivers if Hague beats him for a spot next year)

I don't know the answer to that, but my guess was that it would be around that if it goes to arbitration.

I think they'll offer him a million dollar bridge to get him to the next RFA round, when they'll have a little more free cap space and he has shown he's an NHL caliber dman. If he lives up to expectations, they may throw a checkbook at him for a long term.

His max ELS salary (for "this" season) is $925k. So, yes less than $1m. (I'm guessing there might be some signing bonus $$, but not much else with a handful of NHL games remaining.)

But I'm guessing he might get a few million next season.

Edit: Now if the organization has reached max 50 active contracts that's a different reason the player can't play (this season; IOW contract set to start next season).
