He obviously wanted to sign with Minny. Habs had no chance.

His poor play with us in the playoffs probably got him less money and less years.

Does that mean we still have a chance at Matt Moulson?

Well yeah the contract looks good at that term and money, but he wants to play LW and MT never gave him that spot... plus he reacted in the worst kind of way in not showing up in the ECF... It sucks, I liked him, but I'm not crushed, I think we'll have really good balance throughout our lineup.

Don't think he fits there with all of their speed. But good for them.

People are saying he took less $ and term to go to Minny.

If he signed with us it would've been something like 5 years, 7 mil per year

it wasn't about the money for Vanek. I really wished we could have kept him but goodluck with the Wilds.

No thanks. He's the new Heatley / Havlat.

Let's just sign Iggy and he'll be quickly forgotten.

Less money and term than we thought he'd get. I think Therrien is a main reason he didn't work in Montreal, too bad.

Great deal for Minny, too bad he would have never taken that kind of deal from us.
It is a great deal for them. Three years, he should be productive and they minimize risk.

Wish we could've signed him for that but its clear he wanted Minny.

Moulson to Sabres.
Once again, the best sign elsewhere, while we pick up the peripherals...
