Well, don't know what to say at this point. Career AHLers are of little interest, to be frank. We're looking for guys who really still could make the NHL.

A guy like McEneny is out for me. Career Minor Leaguer, IMO.

I think I have to go with Stewart or Fox, at this point. Fox still has that "what-if" quality, but I think we'll know about half way through the year, to be honest.

I don't understand the bolded unless I missed some sarcasm

I think we should go to 25, btw. Looking at 2013, numbers 21, 24, and 25 offer some fairly interesting outliers.

I'll do the rank changes from 2013 to 2014 then. Already started anyways. You can thank my OCD later.

Just because you never know. I guess. He's converted to forward, so there's that :dunno:

Odd reasoning but whatever. I picked McEneny even though I'm not incredibly high on him. Could see him possibly being an NHLer but everyone is now a long shot. I agree that Fox is interesting and probably should have been in the AHL at least for half of the season. Same goes for Blomstrand.

Don't know what to really think of Gaudette or Neill but I would rather have the mystery box than the guaranteed loser in Stewart.

I've seen it a lot around here. Not sure why Stewart gets so much hate compared to other lower end prospects???

The comment is made because he is currently second in votes in this poll when he really shouldn't have any. Nobody is voting for Olsen (who I like better), Williamson or Beattie so nobody is talking about them going too high.

How Cederholm can play World Juniors yet not be selected in top 20 VAN prospects here is ridiculous

Evan McEneny has shown projectable NHL size and all-around skills IMO in his ACL-torn junior career. The injury cost him a 2nd or 3rd round draft position, but at this late point in the rankings he's definitely a strong value pick. Now 6'2" and 215 pounds, with good two-way skills and a physical streak, he once was Frankie Corrado's D partner. These articles about him are at least somewhat intriguing:

http://vansunsportsblogs.com/2012/09/13/canucks-take-a-chance-on-evan-mceneny/

http://canucksarmy.com/2014/8/13/prospect-profile-18-evan-mceneny

If a guy like McEneny is *actually* our 20th-best prospect, I'd say we're doing pretty well. But IMO he's much better than 20th in actual NHL potential. However, that left side has a large crowd of applicants, and at this point it's unknown where McEneny fits in with Pedan, Hutton, Brisebois, Tryamkin, Sautner, Cederholm, and Olson. Or next season with Pedan, Hutton, Sautner, and Cederholm.

Honestly out of all these prospects right now, i think McEneny has the best chance of making the NHL so i voted for him. It was really between him and Kyle Pettit who i think could be a bottom 6 forward for us in a few years if he continues to develop (given reports of his work ethic, no reason to doubt that). Of course its still debatable rather or not McEneny will even be in Utica next season...

I picked Fox. His stock is obviously very low at the moment, but he has at least shown an ability to dominate at a lower level. Seems to have an elite shot.

Im going Stewart here. Ill take whatever hate is thrown at me but i have a gut feeling this guy figures it out. Big boy and a hard worker. Everyone who saw him at the prospects camp said how awesome he looked. Like the potential here
