Why are people putting Shinkaruk ahead of Clendening?
At 20 years old Hunter Shinkaruk put up 31 pts in 74 games in the AHL, as a rookie forward. 6 points in 23 playoff games.
At 20 years old Adam Clendening put up 46 pts in 73 games in the AHL, as a rookie defenseman. The next season he put up 59 pts in 74 games in the AHL.
It seems like Hunter is just getting voted in based upon his once-upon-a-time 1st round status.
At 22, he put up what 20 points. If this was 2013, that would be a very good point. For the record I like Clendening, but he's got 2 years on Shink and all things considered (coming off a serious injury/adjusting to the pro game) Shinkaruk had a sold rookie season with Utica
