Seems like a reasonable enough deal. I had been penciling him in at $2.55M x 4 years, thinking that was about realistic. Not going to quibble over $100k or an extra year, especially when it comes to a player signing in Canada and the premium that seems to carry these days. Not on a player who seems to fit well with what the Canucks need. Even if he doesn't light up the scoresheet...a guy who can play some solid defensive minutes and chip in reasonably enough at even strength in those minutes, while also adding some nice speed to the roster, is plenty welcome. Falls right in line with where he should be, relative to other recently signed comparables in that same ballpark.

Highly unlikely but that would be an added bonus.

It's not actually the point at all. We are discussing the Dickinson deal, which looks to be pretty ballpark, and you want to talk about the history of Jim Benning.
