2 years, 6 million.

Good deal for the Canucks. He's their best defenseman, and they didn't give him too much term.

Thank god. I was terrified of a long term deal with him and Detroit. Not becuse he's a bad player or anything, but he's just not a guy you give a huge term to at this point in his career. Great deal by Vancouver.

So much for all those rumors about how he wanted 3 years or he was gone. Good for both parties.

Strange to see Canucks re sign him... Seems like every season he is asked to waive his NTC at the deadline but he declines it. And then his contract finally ends and they re sign him? Atleast its just 2 years

Is it a NTC again?

Seems good. Pretty low risk for the Canucks and Edler keeps their d-core looking respectable. (fun fact, Canucks had 14 different D on their roster at various points this past season)

I'm sure that's what he wanted. I guess he would rather be in Vancouver then anywhere else because when push came to shove he backed off the demand.

Good for the Canucks to lock down Nikita Zaitsev's partner to a contract
