You also have a guy who hasn't really been a prolific point producer at any level. I wouldn't have any issues with him playing in the AHL, seeing if he can hone his offensive game.

I wouldn't be opposed at all, and honestly think it would be best if he was our #1 callup.

I don't necessarily disagree but given the crap competition in camp it should be very easy for him to make the team outright and if so he should be in the NHL. The only way he is in the AHL s if he's had a bad camp and even then I think it would have to be a very very bad camp.

I'm also generally a proponent of cooking prospects in the minors/juniors for as long as you can.

I agree JV would have to have a terrible camp to miss the team.
