Six Maccabi players, including 5 regular starters, have tested positive for COVID as Israel goes through a pretty serious second wave right now.

They didn't have a great chance to begin with, but you'd rather see it settled on the pitch. Unfortunate.

Salzburg should be through after winning in Israel. The other two games from today all to play for

Dynamo Kiev with a win at Gent, helped by Ukrainian player on Gent (Bezus) getting a red card and Dynamo scoring the winner late in the match. Crazy game in Norway with Molde-Ferencvaros ending 3:3, Ferencvaros had a two goal lead but Molde scores three unanswered in the second half with Ferencvaros equalizing via a late penalty. Easy win for Olympiakos over Omonia, should go through

Also helped by another Ukrainian, Roman Yaremchuk, basically Gent's best forward, subbed off injured in the first half.
Dynamo didn't even have to played that well to win, have to laugh at all those Gent fans who last year minimalised the fact the Brugge eliminated Kiev in the CL qualifiers, claiming Kiev sucks and anyone from the Belgian League would have beaten them :thumbu:

Terrible news it completely kills the flow of games and makes it easier to cheat by wasting time which referees never add on correctly.

You still only have 3 opportunities to make a sub though, so nothing is really changed there.

Gent are shit and it showed. Kiev actually were awarded 3 PK's but one was taken away because their forward was offside by a hair. The stats will show Gent had a lot of shots on goal but most of their chances came when the game was already over. They did have one great chance when it was still 1-0. But in the end Kiev were the better team in both games.

Also cool to see Ferencvaros back in the CL GS. First Hungarian team since Debrecen in 2010 to make it.

Ferencvaros made it from the 1st round too, the only team to do it (Maccabi could do it too tomorrow but unlikely). Also, Ferencvaros was unseeded for the 2nd and 3rd round

They are one of these “money ball” clubs heavy into analytics (their owner also owns Brentford who have same philosophy). Midtjylland have had moderate success in the EL level

So here is some trivia. LFC fans can abstain from this one.

LFC played a Hungarian team; Ludogorets, in the Champion League. The last time they went before Klopp. There is something that happened in one of those games that never happened in the again in the Champions League for Liverpool. Does anyone remember what that was? Not a super hard one, but more of a fun fact.

Ludogorets aren't Hungarian though
That’s right! Bulgarian. I definitely mixed the flags up in my head both horizontal with red, green and white. My bad on that. Still applies though if anyone wants to take a shout.
