He's a fit. I'm sure he knows the situation and it's a one-year deal. Quinn will be back at some point and the dream would be one of the call-ups plays well enough to push Jost back down to 13 when that happens.

Really glad they brought him back. I always got the feeling that he meshed really well inside the locker room which was probably a big reason they signed him (and his on ice play was pretty solid).

$2m seems kind of high for a 13th forward, but I liked how he played last year.

Fine with this move. Vets on one year deals tend to bring it night in night out. The fear of slipping into irrelevance is a superb motivational tool.

I like that too - keep him motivated and we know that he gave them some things after arriving on waivers that were the feature of a guy who could see the end of the line.

I'm serious. I think we sort of used this with Hino? In an unrealistic dream scenario of mine it's the same with the Johnson deal. He'll be with the NHL squad but will be waived during rotation. :D
